Kennedy Classification

Class1	Bilateral edentulous areas located posterior to the natural teeth	雙側後牙缺失
Class2	A unilateral edentulous area located posterior to the remaining natural teeth	單側後牙缺失
Class3	A unilateral edentulous area with natural teeth remaining both anterior and posterior to it	後牙在/ 其餘部分缺牙
Class4	A single, but bilateral (crossing the midline), edentulous area located anterior to the remaining natural teeth	後牙在/ 單個缺牙區跨中線

Rules for Kennedy Classification :

Rule 1	可能影響分類的牙齒拔除『以後』才做分類
Rule 2	智齒缺失且不考慮復型，不列入分類考慮
Rule 3	智齒存在且被當作 abutment，則列入分類考慮
Rule 4	如果 second molar 缺失且不考慮復型，不列入分類考慮
Rule 5	最後方缺牙區為分類依據
Rule 6	決定分類的缺牙區以外若還有缺牙區，稱之modifications，以數目表示
Rule 7	Modifications 不談範圍，只考慮數目
Rule 8	Class 4 不會有 modification 分類
